Since he’s the commander, I figured his blue tone should be stronger than the normal rank and file troops. ? Below is the WIP of my Tau Empire Commander in his (or her) XV86 Coldstar Battlesuit. This title is available in two editions, designed to provide the best reading experience on mobile phones and tablets. Version: 1.5 Size: 5.1KB Description: Colour schemes for the Tau Mod v1.5, based on Tau colour schemes from Games Workshop.
The other features the ochre colour scheme of T’au sept. I don't think farsight enclave would have any sept colors though. Just make sure your basing work matches the colors. This colour is present as geometric motives or lines on the armour and is common to all the Tau soldiers from a specific Sept, so it sounds like a good idea to have a list of the colour of each Sept so that you can know which one to use or to choose. Frankly a 'fluffy' scheme here would be either red/grey and black, but any colors that could somehow fit the environment they're in would work. However, one thing that is really important for the Tau, more that the colour schema of the armour is the Sept colour. The artwork in the army book seems to be Sa’Cea Sept as its head color, but has D’yanoi’s Sept as its decal. Tau Commander One of these guides covers a collection in the gleaming white armour of Vior’la sept. Tau colors change depending on the battle field. Chopped Hues Purple Color Palettes Design Seeds Color Schemes. The best way I found to deal with is it to place mid-tones of the grays and blues, besides black, to break the armor’s monotony and besides the Sept decals, use orange sparingly to provide more balance to the overall paint job. Each Tau sept has its own sept symbol and color scheme. Since they are complementary colors, putting them next to each other creates a striking contrast, thus it is very easy to overdo. More orange and it will drag too much attention on that part, while also putting in too much blue would make it too monotonous since it makes up majority of the model’s color. I haven’t seen many Sa’Cea as their color scheme and I think I do understand why - It’s freaking hard to find balance between the orange and blue. General tones are Blues and Grays, with Orange as the Sept color. It is highly based on the Sa’Cea Sept of the Tau Empire, which was also perfect for me because I like the color Orange too. I’ve finally gathered the courage to realize my planned color theme. ? Below is the Tau Commander of the Vior’La Sept: I’ve put this off for quite a while now, doing various color tests on spare sprues and even main Before I got this miniature, I was dead set on using the Vior’La Sept, but then, that’s just white and red.
